accord air filter
I dont know what to do i have a 94 honda accord ex and i want to take out the stock air filter and put in a performance one the new filter looks like a cylinder and the air intake hose is not long enough to put the new one on there so the hood can close. What do i do?
why not buy a ebay style intake?
those you can get for 35 buck brand new with the filter?
if you still want to rag it yourself you'll be better off take the airbox out, probably the resonator also

Sounds like youre trying to put a cone filter on the stock rubber hose but it wont fit. My suggestion is you either get a k&n filter replacement for your stock air box or get an intake off ebay.
