Basic electronics question
Ok, I have a 92 EX, and I recently got the Euro style corner lights. What I noticed was that they are composed of two bulbs. However, only the aft bulb does anything. In fact, it does everything: It operates during headlight usage, turn signal, and emergency flashers. What the heck does the first bulb do????
the first bulb, the moral supporter
is the parking light. accords from 90-95 use the second bulb, for a turn signal. in the 96-97 accords the second doesn't act as a turn signal. it's legal issues. in order for the cars to be DOT legal, you have to be able to see the car's turn signal from the side and front, and have parking lights

to be legal, you need amber lights to be able to reflect both the front and the side...so people know there's a car there...
the forward bulb blinks when the rear bulb blinks (headlights off). They both turn on when the parking light is on. And if the headlights are on, they are both on (and when you turn on your turn signal, they alternate when they blink)
