Default wierd starting problem

Car: 96EK with B16A JDM Spec (EK4)

When parked for long period of time, the car would sometimes be extremely hard to start. After around 30 mins of cranking it will eventually start. We tried swapping a stock 1800 type r box and it started in one click. We put back my box and it would start immediately. Any ideas? The mechanic said it might be the box that has a problem. Im using a stock box but with an Ericks' Racing program. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks!

By box do you mean ECU?

Did you do a tune up on the JDM motor? Like plugs, wires, injector cleaner, water pump anything like that?

Yup by box I meant the ECU. I just changed oil and plugs a short while ago. The wierd thing is, there is electricity going to the plug wires, and the injectors have pulse, but for some reason the car just wouldn't start.

Could it be a grounding problem? Because the hard starting is really occuring at erratic times. I just left my car at the shop for two days, normally it shouldn't start, but it did. Wierd...
