Default Here's a reason to not use aluminum cam gears

From my GSR Civic, these 50k mile STR gears obviously are crap. The gears worn to the point where they began chewing up the timing belt. Unfortunately, before I had the chance to correct the situation, the timing belt tensioner gave out (unrelated I'm fairly sure). Here's yet another reason why I won't ever recommend another set of aluminum cam gears to anyone.

JUN, Toda, or HKS gears. They all use a steel outer gear.
