the numbers you put down sounds about right for the mods you have.

What kind of tuning was done at each of the shops?

I'm not sure what gains you were expecting to see.

The JDM DC 4-1 is a fine header. Have you seen the Great Header Test?

Camgear was adjust 5 different time on the 2nd dyno. I one I post was the final and best result. I will try some other # on the next dyno.

Your exhaust is a little small, the N1 is only 60mm while your header is 65mm so you're getting some power cut off there. What series Carsound cat are you using? If the first digit is under 9 and the last digit is under 6, you may be getting choked there too.

I was making about 170whp with a similar setup untuned so you're about right give or take. Probably try using regular 91-93 octane, you may get better results. Using higher octane doesn't give you any power unless you raise your cylinder pressures and tune for it.

peak HP...i cant argue.

but compared to some of the other headers out there...it was not a good selection for mid range hp imo.

my god, look at that a/f curve. you would benefit from fuel tuning.

100 octane wont burn that well unless you advanced the timing a lot or are running real high compression which you are not.

those numbers are, ok, but not that good. Normal? dunno. my gsr put down 169/122 with I/H/E/VAFC/Cat and 18 deg. timing..

great header test was just bolt on.
after tuning, some people got like +11hp midrage with an
IB modded jg/edlebrock header over the jdm/dc 4-1..and more top end too.
same thing with the header tech header.

You mean a 11hp spike in the midrange, or the average between x,000-x,000 rpm was 11hp more?

Seems kinda weak... Not tring to rain on the parade but I got 164 with nothing-stock.

You should try a different tuner, maybe...

A different tuner wont matter so much. I'm guessing he wants peak power (money shot ownz all y0! lol ) and he needs something to control fuel to lean out the top end since it's running rich as hell.

All he has currently are cam gears.

Wow mario, that was a very helpful post by you. I wonder if your car is as quick as your mouth

Anyways, on 2 of his dynos he said dc 4-1. On the last one he said jdm dc 4-1. There's a big difference between the two. I assumed the dc 4-1 was being used.

However the charts look fine, but if he is using 100 octane gas it might be robbing him some power

That looks about normal to me. Some ITR motors make more power than others. Maybe you got a Friday motor? Really though don't feel bad about your #'s and listen to the people above and try and do a few more things differently. All in all I hope you get the results you are looking for.

The 100 octane is killing you, I lost ~5whp when testing 96 octane when I was tuned for 91 octane.

yeah, and I ran slower times with 100 octane then when I was on 91...
