Hey guys - I'm looking to finally upgrade the exhaust on my shitbox hybrid, and I was wondering what are some pro's + con's of using a stainless vs. aluminum piping exhaust..
There is the price difference, but is there anything drastically different except weight... I do live in the No.Va area so therefore there are some crappy winters, but I usually try not to drive..
thanks

But does exhaust piping hang that low - my car isnt slizzamed or anything, about 1 finger wheelgap all around..
It never occured to me that the piping could get that close - ill take that into account..

stainless steel flows better???
aluminum is not recommended for exhaust systems
but there is aluminized steel which is cheaper then stainless steel
which is more suitable for the use in exhaust systems

Oh if you're comparing aluminized steel to stainless steel, I would just go with the aluminized, since it's cheaper.

aluminum is the way to go, if your car is slammed, stainless is a waste since more than likely it will be hit or scraped anyways.
stainless is just a waste of money unless you for the cash or want to go fr the bling and to whoever that said flowing, it is a pipe for crying out loud

do you mean aluminized?
if so it is just coated mild steel and quite heavy, commonplace in muffler shops
i would go stainless if you got the extra cash
