My friend's dyno chart with Skunk2 stage 1s...
It seems a little lean. He has a B16A with Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, no header, 2.5" exhaust(crush bent), D series fuel pump....pretty basic **** really.
CAI also with Vision programed p28 with VAFC. and skunk2 intake manifold
Any advice from the tuners on how to make more power....I will post the graph with his tq. curve when he sends it to me. His peak tq was 101 at 6500 I believe.

If your friend get a vafc, he should add more fuel after 6500 rpm. It's running a little lean, and adding a little fuel might get him a few more hp.
Yeah he needs a little work. We will add some more fuel up top...isn't 17.5:1 A/F ratio dangerously lean????I'm no tuner so I'm not sure on what's safe.

Very Much!!!
When my Skunk Stage 1's were tuned, I gained 20+ WHP in the Mid range
Was like night and day Difference
The cams seem to love to be Advanced (+2,+2) or more and also run on lean side!

You need to get a b-series fuel pump. Then you need to get a fpr. B&M commandflo will do just fine. They are only 50 bucks. Then you crank up the fuel pressure a few lbs. That will give you the fuel after vtec. Then lean it out where it needs leaned. Using the vafc to crank up the fuel will max out your injectors.
ill toss my dyno in there. i thinku sholda easily be able to get where mine is or past..theres more power to be had in mine even...
SIR1 b16. FPR VAFC for tuning.
JDM DC 4-1 2.5 crush bent exhaust.
caqm gears which arent really tuned yet, and stage 1 cams

More power indeed.
There's a guy here that has a b18c1 with Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, Cam gears, VAFC, p28 ecu, valvetrain, I/H/E that pushed near 190wHP on stock bottom end.
He's shootin for +200wHP, PRE-Pistons... so it's obvious there's alot of room to make more power.

Daam thats pretty good
My b20 with skunk2 stage 1's only made 200.1
yes I had to put the .1 on there I was very happy with breaking the 200 mark

Ok guys...He has Skunk 2 cam gears and they spent some time playing with the cam timing. They picked up about 10hp across the board from VAFC tuning and cam tuning...but those are his final tuned numbers.
Also, found out that the outside air temps were about 90-95 degrees and humidity was nearly 100%.
I think he desperately needs an adjustable FPR, fuel pump and header. I don't know how much the crush bent 2.5" exhaust piping would hurt the power.
Maybe if it was cooler out and less humid he would put down more power.

he seriously is in need of a fpr, a fuel pressure gauge and oil pressure gauge. make sure the oil pressure gauge is a mechanical one...i don't trust the electrical ****...
Just to bring and old memory back since Waffles and I have been talking about tunning the POS some more, I went back to the dyno a couple of months ago, I managed to pull 155hp and like 103 tourque, with a header installed, i will have to post the dyno sheet up tommarow.
Just looked through some old posts and saw this one, thought that I would share.
Oh yeah, the current list of mods as of today 12/10/03 are:
B16a2 with
Sk2 stage 1 cams
Sk2 cam gears
Sk2 intake manifold
AEM cold air
B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator
DC sports 4-1 header
2.5 inch bent piping and apexi N1 muffler
Now it is time to go back to the dyno and play around with it this weekend!
