okay so i was running HPDE with Nasa at Sears Point this past weekend. I'm on the back esses and I start smelling burning oil. I look in my rear view mirror and i'm spewing a smoke screen of oil like from spyhunter. mind you i'm doing like 80 mph! luckily the pit entrance is at the end and i pit in. I let my car cool and jack it up. I'm running the stock d16 with a JR supercharger. I found the pcv valve has popped out of the purge bock and oil was being forced out. any ideas from anyone to avoid this?

 

modify the pcv to remain open and feed it to a catch can and plug the opening in the intake. not emissions legal tho... shrug.

Also, not all PCVs are created equal.

Per you application, some brands will form a tighter seal with the mounting surface (Purge block, valve cover, etc) thatn others. I purchased three brands before I found one that fit to my satisfaction on my car.

So shop around too.
