95 LS four door with intake only. should adding a 2001 ITR exhaust be my next step?
I was wondering if adding an ITR exhaust would be beneficial for what I have which is only an AEM intake. I don't plan to do much more. This is my 4 door daily driver which I haul three kids around, so keeping it quiet is my main goal. What is involved in installing a 2001 itr exhaust into a 95 ls four door? Thanks!
A decent header/cat. would be more benificial than an ITR cat-back. I would look into those parts first, and then worry about the exhaust.
I would run a Carsound cat., either 2.25" or 2.5", depending on which header you select.
You'll find a tremendous amount of header information using the search function. Greddy, Apex-i, and Comptech are all good choices with stock-sized collectors, while the DC Sports JDM 4-1 and OEM Honda JDM 4-1 are very good choices with 2.5" collectors in the same price range. With a nearly-stock LS, the majority of the quality headers (both stock and JDM collectors) should perform very similarly, so you really can't make a poor choice. The final choice will basically come down to price and personal preference.
And lastly, no, a header/cat. will not make your car appreciably louder.
