do all the type r heads...

Default do all the type r heads...

brings bolts or do they have studs that come out of the head for the headers ?

theres 2 studs coming out , the rest are bolts. thats been with every honda i have seen and worked on also

It's a '96+ or a '98+ thing to only have two studs on the ends. '94 and '95 B18-engines had all studs for the exhaust manifold.

97 ITRs, and I think (but not sure) 98's have all studs. newer are 2 studs

My 98 had 2 studs.

I thought I remembered D's 98 having all studs but wasn't sure. Thanks for the confirmation that they use 2 studs on 98 heads. So I guess it's just 97 USDM ITRs with all studs.

i have seen people put all studs on , that smight be the case. like i said i have numerous , numerous numerous bseries motors frmo all years and i have yet to see one different form what i stated above.

Trust me on this one Pete, older GSRs, B16As and 97 ITRs for sure have all studs. I have seen plenty of them and worked on plenty of them. The 97 ITR in particular still has the stock exh manifold, etc. they have not been replaced (the bolts with studs I mean).

ill check a few of our b16's and b18's when i get home, i never noticed anything diff. too much maybe ? my friends GSR has thme though , but he said he put em on beucase the bolts used to back out on him all the time .

thanks guys, that's what I thought . my b16 had all studs and all d ser. are all studs, thanks again
