U.S Malfunction Indicator Lamp!

ok my malfunction lamp came on three days ago, i pulled over and started my car back up and did'nt come back on until later that night driving home, and stayed off for two days, and now popped back on, stopped and started car back up and drove home did'nt come back on, what do i do in this situation? go to a honda dealer ask them to check everything? how much are we talking about getting something fixed that makes this come on? my engine is running fine but something must be wrong because this is coming on, so have any of you had this happen?

My friend says this happend in her car.

I'm kinda confused, is this different from the CEL? I have
a 97 and a 90 integra, both do not have anything like this.

What is the urpose of this light?
