Default please diagnose my tapping noise

Hi guys...i usually leave my car off over night..and turn it on in the morning...i usually here this tapping noise...similar to like someone who has a dime and is tapping it on a table...However, this only happens when the car is idle and when the car isn't warmed up yet...after driving and the car is warmed up, the tapping goes away...any ideas? This is a b18b by the way with around 20kmiles on the motor. Thanks in advance!

Have u checked the valves. Your valves may need to be adjusted.

I guess if it gets hot, the metal expands and tightens them. Tapping usually means the valves are loose.

Im thinking of getting a Helm's manual and the right tools to do my valve adjustments. Is this a simple or difficult job? What are things that i should be concerned about?

How often should you adjust your valves?
