my friend just bought an eg. we got a 98 ex for it and we need to use either the 98 ecu we have with a jumper harness, or find a p28 because its obd1. which one's cheaper? what would you guys recommend? this is the first eg we've ever done a motor swap on. if it was an ef we would be straight. but it seems similiar. any advice appreciated.

 

What kind of engine are you puttin in the eg? d16y8? What kind of engine was in there? Vtec? Non-vtec? EIther way you can use either computer. Both p2p and p28 have the vtec stuff in them. Take my advice go p28, its obd1, its better for tuning, and you dont have to waste time converting your obd1 to obd2 (which is retarded). Go p28, and somewhere down the line chip it . Check ebay, I think virgin p28 were going for like 100 or so.
