should i use these high mileage ls rods?
195k on them. i might use them in a ls/vtec build up. tell me why you would or wouldnt. i am kinda leaning towards not using them but i am on a budget plus the motor isnt gonna be crazy and will most likely never see boost.
I read shotpeening makes ur rods .005% stronger. I believe a few people on this board, have compared shot peening rods to a twinkie. Hard on the outside but mushy still inside.
If I were you, invest in some aftermarket rods, and have them mated to oem pistons. That way, you get the arp rod bolts that come with aftermarket rods, and the nice beefier rods, to go with the oem pistons. Go with like b16/itr/ctr pistons, and your compression is like 10.9/11.4/??? i forgot. Pretty good imo.

if you are running OEM psitons, just use the stock rods, but have them modified for ARP rod bolts and you should be good to go
