Default Help! Grinding noise when turning right

Hello folks.
I've got a 94 LS, hatchbak and I've been noticing that when I make a right turn, the driver side fron wheel makes a grinding noise like metal sliding against metal (very noticeable). There is no noise when I'm driving straight or making a left turn. The car has 165000 KM on it and still drives like a dream. There is no aftermarket product on this car. Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Also, someone smashed the driver's side mirror the other night. The mirror cracked and fell out and the plastic the mirror is "double-taped" on is still intacted but popped out of the mirror body. Can I just replace the mirror or do I need to shell out the big bucks for the whole mirror assembly?

Thanks in advance for any help or comments.

few possibilities, could be a bad caliper rubbing on the wheel (unlikely, but maybe) or the rotor. could be the pad, could be the wheel bearing, could be the tire it self. i would put my money on the caliper or the wheel bearing. make a friend thats a mechanic and use him for his ears, they are great that way, but no other way .......

Thanks for the input guys. The pads and rotor need work as they are originals -I'm fairly light on my brakes. But if it's CV boot or even pads rubbing, wouldn't you hear that whether you are turning right or left? Sound only comes during right turn -weird.

Also, does anyone have the page of manual that shows how the driver side mirror is assembled? I think just the mirror needs to be replaced but I'm not sure how
to take the casing apart.

thanks
