new cams... now it boggs ???

Default new cams... now it boggs ???

i just put in skunk2 stage1 cams in my car... i have a completly stock exhaust system...header, cat, exhaust... all stock.. when i hit vtec it boggs a lil bit and then again when the secondaries open... the ecu is compltly stock right now.. and it is not tuned... im goin to get it tuned and everything i was just wondering if this was normal..
the timing is also set at stock

Have you tried resetting the ecu? I don't think it will help but it sounds like you're running rich, or maybe lean. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

well when the shop did the work on my car they disconnected the battery so that would've reset the ecu

you need to raise the VTEC crossover to eliminate that bog you feel........

just get the car tuned and dynoed. set your vtec at the point at which they cross on the line and then you should be all set. also, get yourself an exhaust system with those cams and a ecu and you'll be sittin pretty

if the exhaust system still stock you are chocking it.
as for now just catch up with the rest in order to see good results on your new cams.

intake
exhaust
chipped computer
fpr
cam gears

I just installed itr cams in my car tonight. I have I/H/C/E and I do not feel any bog at all. I reset the ecu and when vtec now hits at 4400 it pushes me back...great thing is though now at 5700rpm I hear the secondaries open and feel another push of power...may all be in my head(except the 4400 push) but it is nice.
You are going to love it when you put on other bolt ons....all of them that is....your cams need to breath and they are not.
