do i need to drive it around to let it seal or anything like that? or should it not leak at all anyways?

just stick the gasket onto the studs, put the header on, and torque to 23 lb-ft. Don't need to add anything to the gasket.

what happens if you overtighten? if you break a bolt off, what should you do?

if i did more than 23 lb ft, should i bother loosening if its not leaking?

if it's more than 23 and it's not broken, don't mess with it.

if a stud breaks then you'll have to drill it out if its broken inside the head. If its poking out of the head, use vice grips to turn it out.

be careful when you do remove them if they are over-tight. Put the socket on the nut and hit it *lightly* with a small hammer until it breaks loose rather than laying into it w/ a breaker bar, which will snap the stud.
