Any intrest in the show? If so, should we be planning a R caravan?

 

When is this suppose to take place? I'm going to be in TO this Thursday through Monday.

 

Are you acutally planning to drive you R to park in the field of dust! Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. Also, you know how much heat there will be on the roads there? (McCowan, Markham and all other roads north). Last year there was an R with Recaros with the head protection, lets just say that he got some rediculous fines.

yeah, sure... never been, would be interested.

but from what i remember, the entrance fee is stupid expensive for a show that imitates the parking lots of tim hortons everywhere?

My car is stock, so the po's po's can take a loooooooooong walk off a short, high bridge. If I am not doing anything wrong, I dont see why they would stop me.

As for the dust issue.... I remember one year we were a part of the show - we parked are cars in the middle of a field....

It is the 4th, 5th, 6th - Markham Fair Grounds.

There you are wrong, the scene in Toronto has gotten so bad that I know people who have gotten tickets for stock exhausts. A police officer in Toronto can stop and search your car under the guise of "safety checks". We have no right against illegal search and seizure like the Americans do.

 

I remember watching a program about street racing, they showed clips of Dark Nights, they showed guys like Mike P (think his name was Mike Palagin or something)who runs a white Civic in Canada, think he holds the record for fastest import in Canada or something. You guys know if Mike P is still around, I don;t know when the program was filmed.

I have spoken to many police officers with respect to this issue and the consensus is, that unless your vehicle is noticeable modified and it pose’s and immediate danger to yourself and/or the public at large, the officer will not had out a charge. My car is stock, as far as anyone can tell.... Police still require justification in order to pull me over....

Also the Dark Nights shows usually draw numerous enthusiasts to the fair grounds.... the chances of the Police pulling a few R's over is low.... I have gone every year for 3 years with my R and have NEVER been bothered.

Got a ticket for stock exhaust? You must be kidding me. Did that guy give off the ticket?

 

for people who wants to go you can take the shuttle bus from towncenter, it will take you straight to there with no charge !!

as for dust problem, there wont be any dust, they fix that problem !!

 

have fun...im not going anywhere near that show...joint task force has been put together for the show...York, Metro , Peel and OPP...thats alot of overtime $$$$ and who you think is going to be paying for them...you got it ..... but then Ravage00 has lots of $$$$..hahaha

I'll be missing the show by 2 weeks (Coming down @ the end of July). Looks like I'll be somewhat lucky. Hopefully I don't get harrassed to much while I'm in Toronto.

ahhhh - come on man.... I have been charged with numerous offences over the years and nothing has stuck.... you know I am the teflon don.
Hopefully if all goes well in a couple of months no cop can bug me.... I will be untouchable... Booooooooo-Yeah

ahhhh you guys are a bunch of sissy punk's!

 

they pulled over so many ppl leaving the show around 7ish, cuz thy had radars on both sides of the street, and around 5 -6 cruisers standing ready. yes there was a special task force there as well. imo, it was a waste of money, too bad i bought the weekend pass so i have to go again today and pay another dam $10 parking fee

 

I went, I did not get pulled over....

I had no issues....

 

went to the show saturday, the cops were stationed a few blocks before and were pulling over almost anything with altezzas and a wing, this was at maybe 1 in the afternoon

gravel roads and a farmer's field, not too nice for a parking lot, dust or not, although there was a pretty nice supra parked in it

coulda saved myself 20 bucks entry fee and just looked at the cars in the parking lot heh

 

I was there today, saw ONLY ONE ITR!!
Also saw a car pulled over on McCowen Rd.

hey ravage i saw you sat on McCowan by Hwy 7 but you snobbed me off ...hahah i ran into another R with JDM front we made it one lite east and were pulled over... cop was cool tho he has us pop our hoods looked over the engine for mods..mainly mini breather...didnt say nothing bout AEM or car being lowered or bout the N1 exhaust...let us go and i was outta that area in a hurry..at speed limit of course....i heard the show sucked ...anyone confirm that...
