When I got my ITR a few months back the antenna mast was non-existent (carwash?). Anyway, I figure it's time to replace it and start rocking out to the radio (yeah right). Acura wants $52 for a telescoping piece of metal. Has anyone found a cheap place to get these things. I see them on ebay but I don't know about compatibility. Thanks guys.
The S2000 conversion is cheaper than that and looks better IMO. If you are interested in that, do a search for "S2000 antenna" and read up on it. There was someone on the board that made the kit(forget who it was
), but dont think they make it anymore.
EDIT: Many thanks to Trey and RStor

I designed it and RStoR was making and selling it.

Celica maintains the stock booster so there shoudl be absolutley no signal loss.
On our cars I just wired in some home stereo antennas to the underside and rran them aroud the inside of the panel. And good as stock . . .

Yeah I've had the S2K kit on the car from Rstor for a while I don't lose much in a big city, but as soon as I get to the outskirts...bam, it sucks. But I listen to more CD's anyway.
Any other clues as to improving recpeting with the S2K antenna?

Think I'm up to around 230 kits sold now!</TD></TR></TABLE>
230 are you serious?!
The way to improve reception to stock quality it so add wire to the under side of the kit hardware. It will boost reception greatly. I have been saying this for 2 yerars. Do i have to take a picture?

Yes, please do. I've had the home stereo antenna for a couple years now and I actually tried installing it but it did not improve reception. I'm probably doing it wrong so pictures would be nice.

also, would adding some sort of powered inline signal booster help, or is the signal too low to help?

Adding a powered booster I have found just boosts the static.

YOu won't get it to fit, I started with the whole thing and worked my way down to this. Plus the whole piece is almost $100. This is about $30.

I just sold the original guy my antenna. So that is done with.
I also just did the s2000 conversion and have not had any problems with reception. just fiddle with the angle of the antenna and the mounting stuff below it. I get perfect reception.
