D15B7 LX going to D16Z6 engine, quick questions
Just ordered a D16z6 longblock from sohfast and they said there was somethings that I'm going to need for the engine but I can't remeber exactly what. It sounded like exhaust manifold, downpipe, throttle body, distributor, alt. Does anyone know if these will work from my engine now? And are the sensors interchangeable between the 2 engines? I wanted to do this swap because it seems the cheapest but I didn't count on having to buy a new dist. alt. throttle body and stuff. Thanks for the help.
everything is interchangable from engine to engine.
The only thing you'll need to do is wire up VTEC from the selenoid and switch to a p28 vtec ecu
edit- using the B7 exhaust manifold will choke up the z6 quite a bit...but it will work fine

cool, thanks for the information! Now I have to find a D16z6 wiring harness, si transmission, ecu, and probably the exhaust manifold somewhere. I thought these engines were everywhere! I can't find most of that anywhere

the wiring harness you really dont need, unless youve never wired anything before. All you have to do is add like two wires from the engine bay to the ecu.

Use the harness from the D15 and run the solenoid (A4) and pressure switch (D6) wiring straight to the ECU.
Here's alittle something to help you out:
