what should a stock ls run on the track if tuned right ?

Are there any tricks or tips that can be told to help the time gett better?

Well a 4-1 header give me more top end or just mess my engine breathing all up?

but no tips on how to get going any faster and what about the 4-1 header what is that going to do for me

 

a header alone wont really help you gotta setup a package to ur car like what u want ? if u want top end get a cai 4-1 and a good exhaust that will give you some. myself i went with a short ram and a 4-2-1 and a type r exhaust.

 

if thats all ur focused on is 1/4 mile time then go with 4-2-1 header...

 

i broke in to the high 15"s my first time at the track with my ls with only a k&n drop in,street tires about 60 percent thread and full interior...launched at 3000...

 

i ran a 15.02 @93mph...coulda broke into the high 14s but didn't get another run in....

EDIT: nevermind....i have an LS swap in an EG...

15.02 stock??? stock tires?

 

I ran a 15.4@88 with i/h/e dropped on skunk2s with stock tires. Bone stock LS will probably run 16.2 - 15.7 depending on driver, weather and track conditions.

i have the same set up as u.. + 6 puck clutch and lightened flywheel and azenis...i would be happy if i broke into 14's ill find out in two weeks...

I have an AEM CAI/USDM ITR header/2.25" testpipe/2.25" custom exhaust(kteller8)/ACT HDSS flywheel/koni yellow full coilovers/yokahama A539s(street tires)

if your leaving it stock then here are a few tips that won't cost anything...
Advance Timing
Gut Interior (mostly from front seats back)
Take off P/S belt
Lower your tire pressure (20-25 psi)
Practice Practice Practice

Stock LS will run low 16's - depending where you live, sea-level, weather and track conditons all being perfect you might hit 15's
