typically people want an exhaust for either sound or power. You didn't list what you wanted to compare between the two exhausts.

I have a HKS full cat back exhaust and I love it. Lost a little hp on the low end, but gained a few up top. Has a GREAT deep sound. Well worth the money. However, if you are only planning on buying the muffler, I can not vouch for the performance or the sound quality...Good Luck

i have the apexi N1 and i like it a lot, i know someone with the HKS and i like that a lot too it sounds different than the N1, but yess.. the spoon n1 is sick, and i love it too. i would tell u to check out each one and see which sounds the best for your liking.. and which looks the best as well, (even though the Hiper and Apexi N1 are very similar).

apexi's piping is slightly larger than the HKS piping. HKS Hiper has 2.17 inch piping and apex has A'PEXi N1 2.36 inch piping... so do what you wish... if i were you. i would do a custom 2.5 inch piping with whatever muffler you want..

I have the HKS Hiper exhaust sytsem. I love the sound and the high end power gain. The only thing that is kinda weird is how the muffler is angled. At first i didn't like it but then it started to grow on me. I wanted to put a rear on but i dont think it will clear because the tip is very close to the bumber.
