noise from back right side spring
hey guys, i have the neuspeed race springs for my 2002 2 door accord. a few months ago, i went over this pretty big dip on the road and all of the sudden i heard this clattering/rattling noise coming from the rear passenger side of my car (the noise came from somewhere around where the spring sits). i had my shocks replaced (tokico blue, not great but will do for short term till i can afford koni's or bilstein), and the noise is still in existence, not often but every now and then i creeps up... any thoughts on this?

seems like you could've busted a bushing or something...if it's in the back...it should be visible. I'm not too sure on the 02's though so i hope this gives you some input. Are they adjustables btw?
the first time they drove it and took it apart tightened the nuts... the thing is the noise dissappears and comes back so its hard to diagnose the problem, every time i hear it then on the way to bringing it to the shop the next day the noise dissappears
i have the very same problem as the very same wheel !! when i go thru bumpy roads or bumps slowly, i can hear some noise from the back, and its like the spring is hitting on the shocks.... or whatever... its like two metal hitting each other...
Same here, my rear passenger suspension seems noisier than the rest. It sounds like a metal against metal. I'm pretty sure I just need to cut my bumpstops and dust boot, I'll post when I get around to it.

I have the exact same problem. I have KYBs with H&R springs. I thought maybe the strut was loose in the tower. I'm gonna jack my car up and take a look at it soon to find out whats goin on. It's driving me NUTZ
I'll let you guys know what I find out.

it has to be yur bushing, i hit a bump and it fucked mine up royally, have you car checked out and my suggestion is when you go have the mechanic drive it and see what he says
this seems like a normal occurance with lowering springs...i was always told it was just the spring coils compressing into each other that caused the clanking sound. it is kinda odd that this only started happening after you hit the dip....but perhaps the springs just needed time to settle and now there's not as much clearance between the coils as there was before.
perhaps setting your shocks to a stiffer setting would help.

i doubt it, give it a visual inspection but i've never heard of anyone busting a spring hitting a dip. h&r's are decent so i wouldnt worry too much about that.
