Default Engine rebuild questions

Alright i have been dealing with b series motors for the most part and i just got back into d series.

Well the deal is, i have a z6 that im gonna rebuild. But i want to change the pistons to add some compression. I was using the d series calculator to calculate the ratios. And the dx pistons (pm3) raise it to 11.2:1. Or so it says. how accurate is that?

Also what pistons do you guys recomend and which would fit? Any help at all would be appreciated.

i am pretty sure the DX pistons will fit. if they have the same diamete as the z6 pistons, then they will.

i say go for it. if you want some really high comp, get some 88-89 teg pistons.

You should try DOHC ZC pistons Ive heard they raise the compression to 12.1 and after using that knology calculator it might be true. I might try it on my z6 soon.

yeah i was thinking about the zc pistons ...but according to the calculator it raises the compression like 13:1 thats kinda high i think...i want to run pump gas for the most part so i thought that 11.2:1 would be good. But i just dont know how accurate it is. And if there is anything i have to do to make them fit properly
