Is a front lip just a pretty add on or an aerodynamic upgrade?

There IS an aerodynamic benefit depending on which type of chin spoiler you buy.
This may be too wild of a chin spoiler but for example, on British Touring cars, do you notice how low the front chin spoilers are to the ground? The reason for this is to force air around the sides of the car rather than through the underside of the vehicle...this helps create downforce in the front of the vehicle. It's also shown to increase MPH.
An oem chin spoiler may help a little for this same effect, but you will not see in drastic changes with an OEM chin spoiler. The OEM spoilers are mainly for appearance enhancements..

ok.
Do you want approval or something ? lol
The 96-98 civic-R lip can be a worthy front lip that possibly creates downforce... I wouldn't know for sure cuz I've never tested this type of thing out, but by the looks of it, it seems like it would.
