I think it will possibly bolt up to the block, but the length of the downpipe is what's different I believe...

IT will bolt to the head, and it should be fine, and if its cheape nough just pick it up, and get the flange rewelded for like 15 bucks. I used a 92-95 chikara and it was fine, the flange was just flipped the wrong way so i had to get it rewelded, or something like that. Actually they were perfect, what was wrong was the exhaust place eliminated that middle pipe between the down pipe and the cat, and i had to get it moved back. Go for it, if not let me know, I will get it,

I used a 92-95 header on my z6 swap in my 91, it bolted right up. I would think that since pretty much all honda exhaust are the same length, it will work. on my b18a1 swap however, i had to get the exhaust shortened a bit, the header was about 3 inches too long, but all d series are the same.

turns out it fits the head but doesn't line up to the cat. Time for the old cut and turn trick. Still a good deal for a DC SS header... $137

Is it the flange that doesn't fit? I'm just curious b/c I am trying to find either a header for the UK ZC or for the 89 teg & I am wondering if I'll have the same issue.

if you can get a hold of the 90~93 integra cat...then you don't have to do the turn-n-weld trick....

where did you go to have it rewelded? i put mine on tonight and it was sooooo close that we used the bolts to align it. there is only a small exhaust leak under the car (probably from using the old exhaust doughnut)

I had a DC 4-1 header from a Y8 on by A6 CRX. It fits fine, but I have a place racing cross member so that makes the installation real easy. You will have to have your exhaust slightly modified to line it up with the header, but its really easy.

I'm selling a DC4-1 if your interested.

That's wierd.

(look at my setup below in my sig, z6 block, y8 head, '90 crx si)

I've had a 88-91 Chikara header installed on my current motor with no probs, the downpipe bracket (that bolts to the block) didn't fit exactly, so I just left it without that hangar, no problems at all.

I now had a DC 4-2-1 header for a 96-00 Civic Ex installed, it bolted up perfectly, downpipe hangar fits now, and the downpipe fits the catylytic converter just fine (bolt-in Catco).

So in other words, any D-series header, from 88-00 should be interchangeable with no modification. The only thing that will vary is the downpipe hangar that attaches to the block. I don't know why you guys have to do all this welding... The length of the downpipe should be the same for all years.

what is different is the bolt location on my car from the header to the cat. it is really close, i used a test pipe and problem is solved. the only thing is now the car is loud as hell and i have no backpressure, so low rpm city driving is interesting.

What are your mods? With basic mods (intake, header, exhaust) its not really going to make a Big difference, but later on when you get other crap done like porting, cam, stuff like that, it'll help. When i put my DC 4-2-1 ceramic on my A6 i did notice a big difference with only intake and a muffler. The pull from 4k and up hit a lot harder, the bottom end had a tad bit more power, but the pull from 4K up...woo hoo BTW, my dumbass didnt take off the downpipe bracket that bolts onto the block, so now theres a dent in one of the header pipes because of the bracket rubbing on it
