Default B16ACRX::WHAT SHOULD I BE RUNNING::CRXB16A

Hey Guys,

Lastnight I was going home and I ran into SOME boys on my side of town RACING... We'll I went to go see what they were all about. I got up next to a PRELUDE (HE HAD INTAKE, EXHAUST, S-AFC, HEADERS, & HE ADVANCED HIS TIMING) car was well tuned.. Anyways to make a long story short we raced and we were head and head all the way until the end of THIRD GEAR. Then he started pulling from me... NOW I ALWAYS THOUGHT MY CAR COULD RUN AT LEAST A 14.5 or so... BUT AFTER LASTNIGHT I HAVE BEEN THINKING SOMETHING IS WRONG...

My Car is a 1990 Honda CRX Si with a B16A swap, headers, intake, exhaust, & V-AFC.. I ALSO HAVE A FULL STEREO SYSTEM [TWO AMPS AND A 12" SUB] FULL INTERIOR OF COURSE...

What do you guys think my CAR should be running???
Thank you guys for your time Peace OUT TILL NEXT TIME..

should be running...

1. not on the street.
2. at a autocross event.

its a CRX, not a mustang!

Mostly a weight issue. The lighter the car weighs the more affected by small weight added it seems. I don't mean to gut your car but weight for us Hybrid guys is the key to speed, especially with the B16. A little light on the torque side. The B16 added about 100 pounds and the stereo about another hundred. You are most likely around 2500 pounds, with about 145hp at the wheels, figure it out. Just a thought. Don't sweat it...

hmmmmight not be as bad as you think,

there are preludes bb6 running in my area, at about 14.6-14.9 with just bolt ons, intake header exhaust. with a vafc and some tuning with camgears, i'm sure the preludes can be a little faster even. If it was a prelude srv from the generation before the cureent one, they are lighter and a bit faster too.

get your car tuned and you should stay closer if not win. but try to keep it on the track
