Default AC Help! Recharging air conditioner

If the hard lines from the condensor have been removed, do you have to get the air out of the lines before pumping in R134? I did an engine swap and want my ac back. I've bought a recharger kit from Autzone and wanna know if I'm wasting my money. Honda's talking about $150 minimum to get me rolling again.

it is a VERY GOOD IDEA to get all the air and debris vacummed out of the system before recharging......

My suggestion is goto a garage and ask them to simply vacumm the system for you, go home and recharge it yourself, its not that hard at all... just follow the directions.

Your lucky, I'm having crazy ac problems right now and its HOT out...

If you need a compressor I might have an extra one to send ya. I say "might" cause i don't know if my original compressor works.
