Default How to fix bad gas problem?

I posted up yesterday about my R's bogging problem under acceleration and semi-erratic idling. I checked everything concievable and it wasn't throwing a code so I wasn't sure if it was bad gas or not. I took it out again to today and I noticed it was misfiring. Sure enough it was throwing a misfire code. I'm pretty certain now it is bad gas (this is the second time ).

The last time this happened my tank was almost empty so I just filled it back up and changed my plugs. However now I have about 1/2 tank. I've already put some HEET into the tank to remove any water. Now I'm thinking I should siphon out the remaining gas, refill, add some more heet, then change the fuel filter, and my plugs again. For the guys that have had this problem before what is the best sure fire method to clean my system out? Thanks in advance.

there is a drain plug on the bottom of the gas tank. use that to darin your bad gas out. put some known fresh gas in and you should be good.

I knew that was coming.

I never knew there was a drain plug on the gas tank. Makes sense though. Thanks.

Brock, does Alabama have Quick Trip stores? If so, I recommend buying your gas there. I have never had bad gas from them yet, and I have from a few other places. Plus they garauntee their gasoline.
