how is the s2k in the snow?
just curious. i live in ohio and it snows frequently in the winter. knowing that the s is rwd, i am curious as to how it does in the snow. im sure many of you have a winter beater that you drive instead. i am considering getting an s, but dont know if i want to deal with the thing sliding all over in the snow so i am also considering a wrx.
Get a set of winter tires and the S is transformed into a very competent winter car. I have Pilot Alpins for the winter, great tire but they cost more than the SO2s!
Oh well, I only use them 4 months a year and they wear better too.

Ahhh yes. By the way you can kiss the S02's goodbye and make way for the updated SO3's. Not sure if they are any different, but that's what Honda is recomending our parts department to use. The cost is pretty much the same. Just thought you'd like to know.

remind me to never take my s2000 to your parts department, wherever it may be.
the s-03 is an inferior tire in dry weather.

It gets downright scary if u actually have to get out of somewhere quick, cause it just spins. But hell, after a nice snow, my freshly washed bitch comes out, top down and drifts the turns.

As for the salt bit .. dude it is a 30k Honda.</TD></TR></TABLE>
dude no one asked if you agree with me or not.
and i do know the s2k can be "semi-safe" with snow tires, but im talking about the car being 100% stock.

I'm with razor. I would not want my car getting a coating of salt. Even if it is only a $30k Honda.
As for it being safe with the proper tires, I wouldn't drive an S on snow or ice with anything less that spiked chains over my tires.

. I never said that I liked the call that Honda made. I like the So2's better also. We can still get the So2's, we just don't stock them.
