how fast could a 91 civic si w/ b18c turbo and nitrous do the 1/4 in ?
how fast would that go in the quarter ? im hoping to run fast as possible w/ street tires. i dont know much about imports so looking for some tips on what to all throw in it.
also i plan on doing direct port nitrous like 75 shots or so.

those are big dreams, but if its built properly (ie, forged internals) i would say mid to high 12s on street tires.

i think im going to put a B18C5 in it. and a nice little turbo kit. probably change the pistons and stuff.
if i remember correctly, the b18c5 is the type R? correct, anyways, due to the compression on the type r, while it is possible to turbo and nitrous, i wouldnt do either...just build it all motor...
that kinda of setup would run a **** load better then mid 12's. youd be low elevens before you either blew it up or started to cry over the 10 grand you just spent paying someone making everything so it wouldn't.

quit messing with me im new to imports. im just learning about these little cheap things now so dont talk stupid. give me tips thats all i ask for.
if you want turbo or nitrous that means that you'll eventually have to build the motor anyway so just stick w/ a b18c1 if you are set on having vtec. don't waste your money on a c5 & then go take everything out that makes it a c5 b/c that would be a waste.
can your question be any more broad?
How many LBS of boost you going to run?
nitrous as well?
What fuel management? DFI? HOndata? Motec?
Gutted chasis? Full Interior?
What internals? Other MODS?
Your question cant be aswered. Its to vague.

well i plan on adding upgrades as i get money. turbo wont be going on till next year.
i may be going with the c1 instead because its alot cheaper. more money for parts then.
and yes i was planing on running hondata equipment.

eh i know what that does
this car is going to be power and handling.. going to get some nice coilovers in it probably. and some nice street tires. i plan on doing more street racing then drags. just curious what it would do on the strip.

While some/many imports are cheap... making them fast isn't. It's a helluva lot cheaper to make an american muscle car go fast. I think most people will agree the satisfaction is greater with imports though. Having big ambitions are good, just understand it will cost you thousands and thousands of $$.

You're a dreamer. "cheap little things?" i don't think so. ok- you start with 91 Si = $3500. It has 120,000 miles, but it's got another 200,000 left in it, so it's fine. running B18C5 swap = $6000. Turbo kit with fuel management computer (AEM EMS, Hondata) installed and making lots of power = $6000. nice 75 shot direct port nitrous injection = $600. golden eagle sleeves, crower rods, JE pistons, p&p head, stainless swirl-polished valves, dual valvesprings, titainium retainers, and all new seals, bearings, and accessories = ~ $4900. beefy axles, racing coilovers, big swaybars, strutbars, poly bushings/mounts, traction bars, light wheels and sticky tires = $7500. so let's compare this to a 91 mustang........................ GT. we've just invested like $28,000 in a civic. that runs 10s.
91 rustang, i mean mustard stain, i mean mustang...................................GT = ~ $3500. but it has 120,000 miles on it, so it's only running on 3 cylinders, every seal leaks, and it has a max of 50 psi compression across the board. nevermind, i won't say anymore.........

yeah i know. to me these are cheap. alot cheaper on insurance then a V8 muscle car and i wont kill myself with the power of a import well as fast as i would with a V8 anyway lol.
91 civic hb costing me 1000. upgrades about 8000-10000
V8 mustang costs about $6000+ upgrades w/ FI $4000.
it all comes out to having a more fuel efficent car and cheaper insurance.
the insurance for me on a mustang cobra i looked up was 1400 a year. with the civic it was only 600 a year.
