My roommate scored a few extra tickets to the Pepsi 400 at Daytona for Saturday night's race. I've never been to a Nascar race and $65.00 each is a bit steep especially with trying to get out of debt and pay off the R. I've been to Daytona and done the whole tram ride, but never experienced a race itself. It is worth it? Of course we'd pimp the lady's civic rather than the R. R at a Nascar race - askin' for trouble.

plastic or metal ones?
which turn?

FYI:... expect to drink ~$25 worth of beer.. (a case should suffice)

 

Once you've been(worked or watched from) on the infield or Pit Road, it will never be the same behind the fence. But, if you've never been to a NASCAR race, it's definitely worth doing, at least once.
Make sure you take a cooler of , and arrive drunk if possible.

There's a total of 10 people - probably 5 couples. The guys are drinkers, the girls are well...drinkers too. Gotta stay sober enough for the hour drive home, plus I heard leaving the parking lot takes 3 hours in itself. Gatorade bottles will own the bladder.

Will -----> tickets are in Lund? just after Turn 2 - part of the super stretch I think they are concrete seats, but I'm not 100% sure. Gotta check out the website for more details. If I go, I'll definately pimp the 18 pack cans hat of Busch Light or PBR for Pat

at least it's a night race so we can get eaten by mosquitos instead! Could be wooden seats... haven't been to Daytona in probably 5 years.
I'm not what color the section the seats are in, but there's the map I think.

if you dont want them...ill take them.

Lund tower is a great view, and a good way to enjoy your first race there. When you 'graduate' and want to drink with the 'big boys' you'll want to grab a seat in either the 'winston tower' or 'turn three' (dont remember the name) . This is where the real party is...sans just getting ruined in the pits

btw, there are no 'concrete' seats at daytona. you will at the very least have an aluminum 'bench' seat. Dont worry though, once the race starts you'll be on your feet 90% of the time anyway.


Nick, who is missing daytona for the first time since 2000...but is busy building/designing parts for the teams who are on their way there so I guess it's ok.

 

Nick - we may have 2 extras, but still uncertain. If you are serious, I'll ask my roommate if there are extras and you can drive that piece of **** blue bus down here and crash at my place. Oh and get a cell phone too you *****.

Oval races are spectator friendly, that's why they're popular.

 

just watched Days of Thunder last nite, pretty cool movie and NASCAR definitely ROCKS!!! hahaha...

 

just think marc, there's bound to be some good lookin girls, although i dont know if they'd see you as any better than the average nascar spectator.......
