Default kyokugen and Volk lug question

Alright, Here it goes. I bought some Kyokugen lugnut about 4 months ago. I was Impressed at first but now, the key is on its way out, basicly to the point you cant use it anymore. So instead of buying a new key every few months, I am going to just buy a new set of lugs. Here is my ?, The Volks/Rays lugnuts are a 7 sided style just like the Kyokugens. Are the keys the same size (like can you use the Rays on the Kyokugen lugs?) Also, is the key strong enough to withstand an Impact gun (for removal only?)

the kyokugen and volk lug nut keys are not the same.

i personally don't like the kyokugens. i have heard a lot of not so good things about it.

i am using the volk duraluminum lug nuts right now and i am very satisfied with it. it is strong enough to withstand an impact gun (installation and removal)
i don't recommend it though due to it messes up the finish of the lug nuts.

I know that they are diffrent keys but is the actual size of the septigon (septigon = 7 right?) the same?

I know, I hate the Kokugens as well, I wish I would have never bought them.

I've got kyokugen's, they work great. I've never had a problem with the key because I don't use an impact gun to take them off or put them on, and I use antiseize. I've had them for several months and they still look and function like new. I take my wheels off often.

You wouldn't have a problem if you didn't use an impact gun.

I have the kyo's but the key hasn't stripped (Knocking on wood) however I did have a lug strip from the outside and man was that a pain in the ***. You can't get a 14mm on it cuz its too small and you can't use a 15mm cuz its to big. I had to beat the hell outta the 14 to get it on...stripped it once again then went down to a 13mm beat it till I hit the back of the lug and it can off (2 hours later)
