haha, atleast my car is faster than yours next time, we use Dave's camera and we actually take them in the day

it was somewhat fun.. just not cool trying to find a cool place with enough light that wasnt too small so we could fit all 3 cars in there... our town in a pain in the *** to get good photo spots

The pictures look so dark because you used the flash. Yep, unless the subject is within 10 ft., using the flash will make the overall pic darker (because the camera thinks it can use a faster exposure = less light). The flash on most digicams is weak, use a tripod w/o flash and you'll be straight.
