EG Sloppy steering, unresponsive why ? ...
Hey guys I have a 92 hatch, just curious about the steering kinda, i can turn it about 6 inches both ways and barely have any response at all < - NO P/S ... any ideas on how to easily fix this ? also I have to turn the steering wheel so much just to make a corner, smaller wheels and stuff do make a little difference or the turning amount but not on the sloppy looseness ... if any has any idea please post !!
check the tie rods/look into getting them replaced. If those are not the culprit it may be easiest to buy a new rack from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
I've go a similar problem, I think. I have a 98 EX coupe (with PS). My fiancé has a 98 EX sedan. Her steering is a lot tighter than mine and mine is less responsive, too. It almost feels like mine is over assisted. Any thoughts? Possibly the same problem as above?

He doesn't have P/S.
Check your tie rod ends. When the balljoints on them go, the steering goes to **** and there's a lot of play. I replaced mine and the steering was so much tighter. They're really easy and only like $11 each from the parts bin, OE.

my bad... and yes you are definately right about the tie rods, both mine went and when i replaced them it fel much better, autozone sells them for around 25$ per side w/ a lifetime warantee, and the job is easy enough for you to do in an hour or so.
