How to clean Comptech Air Filter?
There's a service kit which contains a cleaner and the oil. Directions are to spray the foam with the cleaner, let it sit for about 3-5 minutes and then wash with water. Then re-oil.

There have been other posts with alternative cleaning methods but the service kit is the "official" method.

spray entire filter, especialy dirty parts it with uni cleaning solution from comptech, you could use other cleaners, (i found comptech to work best, so i stayed with that..) let it sit for few minutes, then rince it with warm water...
don't forget to re-oil after filter dries up.

you can get the cleaners at your local motorcross type store. As stated above, just spray on the cleaner, wash the dirt out, dry, re-oil. Takes about 5 min or so.

The oil traps small particles of dirt in which the foam cannot catch. You should oil it.

I just ordered from them, but they never asked me for my credit card # or anything. Is it free or something? And why is it cheaper to buy the oil and cleaner seperately?

It should have asked you for credit card info after filling in your address etc..
If you didn't pay for it most likely you won't be receiving it in the mail.
Tj~who also just ordered some.

It said "Thank you for your order."
I guess I will try it again.

This might seem like a dumb question, but how often should i be cleaning my comptech air filter? I got my icebox used with the car so i never got the instructions.
