Default Is this Clutch Master cylinder or slave?

the car is a 95 eg hatch
with 95 h22a swap.

it has an act xtrme clutch 4puck, and a new stock flywheel.
on my initial drive it would lose a little pressure. this is after bleeding the clutch.
the clutch has lots of pressure but not like it used to be.

when i was driving it, i would accelerate in second gear up to 5k, then throw it in neutral and apply brakes to slow down, i would then throw it in neutral. this is when i dont' know whats going on.

the clutch pedal stays to the floor for about 2 seconds then i would have to pull it back with my foot (or wait for it to come back) and pressure would still be there.

what could cause that? and what could cause the clutch to have no pressure in the first place. i do not see any leaks. are there test for each part?

Generally, if you have fluid on the master cylinder pushrod under the dash, its the master. If you see any fluid coming out from around the slave, its the slave. If either one is broken, you should replace them both. Same as replacing both wheel cylinders or calipers. If your fluid level is not going down, and you see no leaks, then you may have an internal master or slave leak. You should still probably replace them both.

after a 2 mile drive it will go down, not like the whole cylinder but almost 1/4 does that mean i should replace the slave and master cylinder......if so approximatly how much would that cost at a shop with parts i work alot now and dont have the time to mess around with it

Yeah, if you're losing fluid, one of them is leaking. Its really not that hard to do yourself. The parts would probably cost you $60-100 for the slave and master. Do yourself a favor and don't get Autozone or the normal parts house crap, or you'll be changing it again in a year. If you went to a shop, I'm sure they would charge you $200-$400. You should definately try to tackle it with a buddy on Sunday.

I HAVE A 94 CIVIC CX WITH A JDM B18C AND I HAD THE SAME PROBELM. I REPLACED THE SLAVE AND THE MASTER AND IT MADE WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. I WORK AT A HONDA DEALER AND WE ALWAYS REPLACE THEM AS A PAIR.
BEST OF LUCK

This sounds like it's the clutch master cylinder with air going into the system.

I would completely bleed the system and put DOT 3 brake fluid in it, making sure there is all clean brake fluid in there, and see how it does.

If all else fails, I would definitely recommend replacing it.

the part number for the h22a slave cylinder is 46930-SM4-003 and the master cylinder for a 95 cx hatch is 46920-SR3-A01
