Default CTR Gauges in EK9 DX

I am thinking about buying a 99 DX hatch with intent to put a B16 in it. Now I don't like the huge tachs, and I like JDM/clean looking parts. I have noticed that there are alot of JDM CTR gauge cluster on ebay, but how hard would they be to put in my car after I have the B16 in? My main concern is that that the DX doesn't have a tach, and abviously the CTR does. Are there any other things I should be concerned about? Is there a gauge face with mph rather than kmph? Any help is appreciated, thanx.

i ctr cluster will fit in a 99 dx hatch as well as a 96-00 ex cluster or 99-00 si cluster and they both have tachs. i swapped mine out with an si tach because i was in the same boat as you when i first bought my hatch. it's really simple to install and is "plug and play." just remember that your new tachs redline will not be the same as your car until you do a swap

the cluster is plug and play...there arent faces that have MPHG, unless you want some cheap aftermarket stuff. Just remember what the conversions for the important speeds are (20/30/45/55/60/70)

posted speed:
25- okay to do 40km/h
35- okay with 60km/h
45- okay with 80km/h
55- well, 61 is about 100km/h
i think 75 mph is about 120km/h.

i usually go about 5-7 over the limit (minus the 25mph). above about 70mph(110ishkm/h?), it doesn't matter, cause you know you'd get pulled for it anyways. VA

So even though the DX doesn't have a tach, and the fuel replaces its postion (or temp.. not sure..) its still plug and play?

Even though the car did not originally have one the stock wire harness has the same clips in all the different models. So it is plug and play. Good luck.

plug n play n the tach will work, i had the same fear i would have to do some weird wiring stuff. but its in, and everything is dandy like candy.

but if you dont want to spend too much money, i suggest you go to http://www.kingmotorsports.com and buy the mugen racing cluster. its really cheap, and it goes up to 240 kmph
