i debated wheather or not to go with the APC coilovers or the SKUNK 2 coilovers. oh wait, there wasn't a debate...nevermind, i forgot how gay APC is and their cheap *** "performance" parts are.
apc
. there was a thread goin on about cheap coilover speevs and how they cracked/mushroomed ont he owner. get urself come gc's if u want coilover sleeves along with a good shock. or, for 800 buks and the price of some eg forks, u can have some diyama coilovers. i'm testing them since they dont come here via any companies and so far there good.

Whats the difference between stiff and bouncy? I just installed Ground Control coilovers and tokico hp shocks and its pretty 'harsh'... by that i mean if i see a big bump in the road and am going to fast i say "oh ****!" followed by "ouch"

when have you ever seen a part from apc that would make you think " that looks like a good product. i think that product is superior to other products, and i will buy it." NEVER. avoid apc, leave it for the rice rockets.
tokico blue struts with eibach road race or h+r road race springs. end of story.

lol
tokico hp's arent the best shock to have. they arent good for lower'd cars. if anything, try the illuminas. i have a set that may be up for sale soon. im thinkin of sendin them back to get a fresh new set to sell.
as for tha bouncy situation, if u go over a bump and the car goves once, its just stiff. if u hit a bump and the car moves up and down a few times over one bump, u have a bumpy ride and prolly a blown shock. if u car isnt bouncy, but harsh, u have shocks that can'thandle the stiffness of the springs ur running and u need to upgrade.
diyamia coilovers, for example, are 12/6 that i have on my car. thats pritty darn stiff for street tired autox car, but it feels good, its properly dampened and its not at all harsh on the street.

dangot. i just ordered a set!
But I'm sure that they will be better than my blown ones!
I got them b/c I don't care for 12 way adjustable tripple adjust so that I can make it stiffer, and jar my dash apart. My motor mounts already do a good enough job of that one.

the illumina only adjusts 5 settings. and u dont have to make it super stiff, just make them right for the springs so the car rides nice. i guarantee ull blow out the hp's
It depends on how much you lower your car. Tokico says that you can lower up to 1.5in, then you risk damaging the shock. I know that springs lower the ride height, lower center of gravity, but I like the ride height of my rex.

I ran Tokico blues for a very short time. The felt like stock. My guess is that they are good for factory replacements, but not good if you are performance oriented.
hp's are the equivilant of kyb gr2. good for stock sus and thats about it.
if ur conna lower the car, go with agx, but dont go too low with them. also the illumina. but same thing. u cant get too low or ull bottom out the shock alot. my suggestion isdont buy cheap coilover sleeves. go ahead and spring for the gcs amd a good shock (koni, bilstien, agx, illumina) or get real coilovers and never have a problem.
