Default CIVIC WAGONS REVEAL YOURSELVES

I've been blessed with an 89 Civic Wagovan for the duration of my undergraduate studies, and I have to say, the thing looks pretty friggin ugly bone stock. Has anybody here changed that? Can anybody who drives one of these things actually wake up in the morning and be proud of what they drive? If so, LEMME KNOW...I need some inspiration.

Honda=Proud, Nuff said!

I can't find my issue of Honda Tuning Magazine, But they are doing a drag project on a Civic wagon. According to them it is lighter than most 5th generation Civics. Keep It!

check out my website for pics. my windows are tinted now. I ran a 9.8 in the 1/8th the first night I ever went to the drags. I like the way the wagon looks. it just needs rims and tint.

I've had 4 wagons 2 4wd and two regular. I still have 1 4wd that makes winter a hell of alot of fun and they carry alot of stuff to. I slammed one of the 2wd ones and drove it 178,000 before I traded it for some cash and a 90 si. I like them because there comfortable and I'm a big guy 6'2 270 and they still are pretty quick and fun to drive plus you can swap anything you like into a 2wd just as you would any of the 4th gen civics

A guy that went to my school had one with a kit on it and bright orange paint, rims, and exhaust. He might of had a motor but i dont know. It was done up pretty clean and i thought it looked nice, he got rid of it though because it wouldnt pass smog. I like the AWD honda idea though.

Here is my wagon.
Lowered on Tein coilovers
Motor is stock, until I decide what swap I want.

It's still ugly, but it's going to make one hell of a sleeper.

I have a red 90 rt4wd wagon.

I'm almost ready to boost it. 14b turbo, hf mani & adaptor plate, dsm blowoff valve, dsm sidemount intercooler, mounted in the wheelwell, mounted in the fender well, so it gets air from the spinning wheel, 911tt style, as well a having a well designed duct from the bumper, directly to the core. I took out the AC, battery & stock rad fan, & put a slimline rad fan in front of the rad. The charge piping will run down, then along the main cross member, & up & over in the fender well, in IC, out hole CAI would go in, to tb. No bends sharper than 90 deg. Getting it all custom mandrel bent. Just waiting for some down-pipe & compresser flanges to arrive from http://www.roadraceengineering.com
I plan to run 4-6 psi boost, with a FMU, just to get it boosted. Ghettodyne or AFC-hack soon after.
GODDAM, I can't wait.

The car is not clean. Dents in the driver door from me drifting it into a ditch... though they are really not bad considering the car was resting on it's side. The super low gear drove it out. All the clear coat is peeling off the hood, & it doesn't shut all the way after I cased the front bumper into a deep waterbar going too fast. The paint in gereral is pretty faded. It's all part of my anti-theft system. I have a law school sticker on my rear glass for cops. I swear it helps.

It's a damn fun car. A blast on dirt roads & does really well in deep snow. It fits 4 people easily. I'm 6'2" and fit in it nicely. I put some DAD sparco copy seats in it(they were cheap, $205 for the pair off of a guy on ebay). They are comfy, but look kind of ridiculous in it. I wish I had held out for some CRX seats in good cond. I have 99 si rims w/kumhos, & steelies w/studded snows. It's got a yakima rack, w/ 3 sportworks bike racks in summer, snowboard racks in winter.

I put a pretty nice system in it... sony es head, mtx 4244 amp, infinity kappa 6.5" separates, & 10" kappa perfect sub in a fiberglass false floor/ trunk/ subbox/ battery box. It looks like a normal floor The spare is mounted over the sub on driverside, locking trunk on pass side. I have a switch on the battery in the box, so I can make my car hard to steal in sketchy areas. The box is bolted to the car from inside the locking trunk...dam hard to steal. It could be done, but not with out an ax & a crowbar. It sounds good, windows down at 80mph.

I like the car. I'm gonna keep it ugly until I get everything mechanically I want done. First thing is suspension. I'm thinking longer 92-95 civic shocks.. too raise the car SLIGHTLY for dirt roads, with GC coilovers so I can raise & lower it a bit. I would like some skid plates to proct the oil pan & tranny. I am somewhat tempted my a mini-me setup... have the turbo vtec rt4wd wagon. Big brakes. ITR rear seats. Power door locks & alarm..... then I will get a paint job

Mind posting about your experience installing those seats into a wagon?

I know the way seats mount into a wagon are different than for other 4th gen Civics.

damn, guys...I NEVER though that somebody would take the time to actually make a wagon look good. If somebody could quickly tell me how to post pics, I'd be glad to put mine up as well, maybe get a couple hints on what to do next...ZC swap? 1.6L upgrade? Anybody got some details about the actual swap process....any hidden difficulties?

You have no idea how good it feels to NOT be the only one out there with one of these.

Oh, btw sparkz, HOW THE **** DID YOU GET IT TO RUN 13's???
