Hi all, heres a question to ponder. I have a 96' Hatch with a 97GSR transplant mated to a b16 tranny and a Quaife LSD. I have 15 CTR wheels on it. The performance upgrades are: Mugen Cold air intahe, DC header, RS*R exhaust, Denso plugs and Magnecore wires. I've never dynoed it or taken it to the track, how much power do you think I'm making and how fast will I go in the quarter mile? Later.

 

Bench racing is never accurate. So theres 2 options. Spend the $15 ad go to the track and find out the normal way. Or spend the $5k on the setup and find out the hard way

 

if it's a stock swap, then it'll put down like maybe 160-170 whp...with your list of mods...so a quaife will be good for putting more hp to the wheels and cornering will be way better.

 

We need a page dedicated to bench racing. The title will say: Ask your 1/4 mile questions here and if someone gives a flyin fock they might answer you. Why dont people just take their cars to a track to find out? Did they build it to tell their friends I think itll run 17s? Who else is down with my suggestion?

 

damn, i didn't think i'd get this much heat for asking a simple question. i go to school full-time and work full-time and wanted to know what people might think b/c i honestly have not been able to take it to the track. are you an ******* all the time or just on forums???

 

Im never an *******. Take the car to the track and run it.

 

BTW, you aren't the infamous Dr. Charles Madrid from Wicked right??? if so, where the heck did David Shih, Viet Lam and Tony Fuchs go??? those guys are truly heroes.

 

He's not being an *******, it just people get sick of the bench racing thing. Having said that, I've asked what certain mods will do to my times but people are a lot more tolerant when you actually race your car....
