is 16 pound rims good for 17's?
i currently have about 25 pound rims (without tires) and im thinking about gettin these rims that only weigh 16 pounds (both rims ae same size, 17). My question is will it make much of a diffrence in low end acceleration and overall performance with the lighter wheels? thanks in advance
Lighter is always better
Your car will have different handling characteristics.
Last weekend i drove a GSr with 17" Volk's. Boy was it heavy.
Personally, im getting 13 lbs 16" slipstreams to replace the 16lb wheels i use today.
Hoping i'll see an improvemtn in handling as well.

My old 17's were 23lbs per wheel. The 17's I run now are 15.5lbs. I also use to even run 18's back in the day. I can tell you that the lighter wheel makes a huge difference with the overall performance of the car. I run 17's cause of my brakes and I just like the way the look.
Just get the lightest wheel in the size your looking for that you can afford

Holyfuck! what wheels are those?

I've got 17" racing hart cp10's that weigh about 14.5 lbs each. i'm thinking the reason you accelerate faster when you upgrade your wheels is the lighter weight of course... and the fact that when you upgrade you ad more surface area for your car to grip... instead of the stock 14x5 at 18lbs you may have on a civic for example... that added surface area on a set of 17x7 wheels can grab more road meaning more torque and at a lighter 14.5 lbs will definately make your car accelerate quicker...
