Default Just got my turbo... Question on it though...

I just got a z32 OEM turbo... There is VERY minimal shaft play, but it is difficult to spin... I can spin it using 1 finger, but it doesn't spin freely so to speak... Basically, as far as i push it with my finger is as far as it turns... is this normal? or if I spin it, should it keep spinning, like a normal fan would so to speak...

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

Pic added to get more looks on the thread, make a nice joke, and hopefully get me my answer...

My friend looked at it, and said that his super 60 was tight when he got it, but not quite this tight, but it SHOULD be ok... It looks like this turbo has been sitting for a while... Can I put a bolt in the oil drain flange and put some oil in the fill hole and spin the turbo to see if it loosens up some?

slight side to side movement is normal....if it goes in and out (sexy kinda? hahaha) you should have it looked at. if it's been sitting awhile try to add some motor oil into the turbo...very slight amount and lube it up inside (sexy kinda? hahaha) and see if it spins abit better

*warning no technical data contained within*

okok, if you have a really loose shaft, then it's been overused, but if it's nice and tight, ur good to go.. No, viagra wont help here.

the shaft itself is tight... no in and out movement, just a SLIGHT (Couple thousandths of an inch) side to side movement... I'll put a little oil in it to see if that helps... thanks guys...
