My R was stolen twice in 2 days...now it's gone
Here is the story...:
Wednesday night I'm at my girl's place, it's about 11:30 and we are about to watch a movie when the R's alarm goes off for the first time. Since false alarms happen quite often I take a peek at the car from the window to see if everything is Ok. Nothing wrong so I go back to the movie. 5 minutes later the alarm goes off for the second time. This time I diden't take any chances and decided to go outside to take a look around...this time again, nothing suspicious. So back to the movie, again.
At about 2:15, after saying good night to my girlfriend I exit the house to an empty parking space.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quick, I call Boomerang tracking (Satellite tracking system) and the police to declare the car as stolen. At that moment and for the next hour I was really freaking out...the reason I only freaked out for an hour is that Boomerang finally called to tell me that they had found the car in mint condition.
The nightmare was finally over...not!!!
After finding the car the police had it towed at the station to have the finger prints analyzed. They told me that the car would be ready at about noon on friday. So, friday morning I contacted my insurance company...they where really happy that the car was recovered and told me that they would have the car sent to the dealership for an inspection.
For a reason I ignore the cops brought the R at the inpound, called me and asked me to go and get it there. The only problem was that it was 4h15 when they called and the inpound was closing at 4h30, so the insurance did not have enough time to send a towing truck...No problem, come and get it tomorrow morning at 8:30, they said...
Friday morning, 8:30, dring, dring...my cell phone is ringing
Me: hello
Officer: Hi, are you the owner of the integra type R that was stolen and recovered?
Me: yes
Officer: Sorry, I have bad news, your car was stolen at the police inpound last night
Me: what....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So that's it...the f*ckers came back for the car at the inpound....they played the security guard and cameras...they cut a huge hole in the fence at the end of the parking lot and passed the car trough that hole...the guard only noticed the hole at 7h30 in the morning so the theifts had all the time in the world to bring the car to pieces...and take the Boomerang system out....
SO now I have been depressed for 3 days...

honestly, if the insurance doesnt give you what you need take it to home base with the police or the impound lot... what a ******* joke... stealing is a part of life... everytime i park my car im in fear of my seats or lips or my whole car or whatever getting yanked... but ive just realized its a part of life... not a fair one.. but theres nothing you can do about it really... if someone wants your **** that bad they wont spare any expense to get it... its sad that your car got stolen but maybe it happened for the best... you can invest the money in something nicer and not as thieve friendly like a 350z or g35 or s2k... good luck with everything... just sad to see another R getting pwned by the scum of the world...
p.s. dont most impound lots have cameras galore as well as some sort of night guards, and how in the **** did they not hear someone breaking the gate, getting into the car, starting it up and DRIVING IT AWAY !!! something about this story doesnt sound right.... id investigate a bit more into this impound lot and who was working that night if i was you...

I would also call the Acura 800 number and see if anyone requested a duplicate of your key from your VIN.

Man if a thief wants the car that bad what the hell can you do. Time to move on to bigger and better things IMO. I would never buy another ITR after that.

That's such a downer! Sorry for you man.
I would call the Montreal Gazette and see if they will do a story on your car for you - that's a news worthy story imo.
Hope they find your car.
p.s. given the audacity of the thieves - I would say the Rock Machine are behind this....

yeah.. definitly think it is time to move on to something else... it's sad, but you don't need to that type of aggrivation all over again. I know I wouldn't. It's just unfortunate.
