I speak for Jacob! lol

Ok... figures probably won't sound too great but the owner of the dyno said readings were off abit and had to get Dynodynamax to come out to fix it. But here it is...

104kw@wheels
179Nm of torque

Only mods are...

ART intake
ART Fuel pressure regulator
ART 4-1 JDM extractors
Hi-Flow cat
2.5" Piping with Apexi N1 Muffler (Straight piping to the muffler)
Cusco Oil catch tank
Toda Gen2 cam sprockets
Apexi Power FC
Tunned for 98RON

Pretty much bolt on stuff. No internal work YET!

Please forgive me for my stupidity but is "ART" a company or does it stand for something else?

Yup! my friend destroyed my pride and joy! But i've been paid out. Waitint for something...

ART stands for Auto Racing Technik

A workshop located in Melbourne who specialises in Modifying japanese cars and some euro cars.

I believe some guys in the states are using ART brake pads? how are they holding up?

DynoJets usually read around 15% higher than Dyno Dynamics dynos. Why? I don't know (see http://www.twinturbov8.com/dynostuff.htm).

Factoring that into your power figures:

approx power @ flywheel = 104kW / .7 = 149kW (i.e. 30% loss)
equivalent DynoJet @ wheels = 148kW * .85 (i.e. 15% loss) = 127kW = 169WHP

Does that sound right for a high 13s ITR?

Yeh, dyno runs never give out the same readings! but it's usefull in other aspecs when tunning a car. The guys at ART are really good with ECU tunning. Not only dyno tune but finish it off with a road tune. I would recommend people to ART!

Here are some pics of the workshop...

when my car was stock, it read 86kW on this dyno, that is very low reading coz of the dyno, on other dyno i get somewhere close to 96kW.
Anyway, i work on the low reading dyno for the rest of my tuning and get 107kW at the wheels that is just about 21kW which is around 30 horses just with basic bolt on the ECU, by looking at how well tune the typeR is, that is a lot of power. Spent more like 12 hours on dyno to work it all out. not just the peak power i gained 21kW, but the whole range on the power band peaks up good. so powerFC is the way to go.

Hey if that's correct than it means that my untuned figures would put me at around 219 whp I'll have to make a trip to a Dynojet in the future...I think that the 15% is an inaccurate correction factor. This was not intended to flame.

Stock internals. But it will soon run Toda C cams.

The intake is AUD$280... kit consist of Piping with ceramic coating, intake bracket mounts, a K&N filter & breather hose.

i dont really believe in dyno vfigure anyway, we tuned our car on dyno to look at the difference before and after and also look at the powerband behaviour on the dyno sheets.
