tire question.....help me into the 12s please!!!
Whats up guys.... Well heres how the story goes. I know my car is plenty capable of going into the 12s, but I am having some traction issues (of course).. I am using the bf g-force street slicks and cannot cut better than a mid 2.0 60 ft time at best. I was thinking of going full slick, but then the axle/tranny thing starts to worry me since my drivetrain is pretty old... My tires are set at about 18 psi, and my best slip is as follows................... Any suggestions would be very helpful.
60 ft. 2.15
330ft. 5.76
1/8mi 8.64
mph 85.30
1000ft 11.11
1/4 13.19
mph 110.49
60 ft. 2.15
330ft. 5.76
1/8mi 8.64
mph 85.30
1000ft 11.11
1/4 13.19
mph 110.49

if u had a cut a mid 2.0 w/ some good traction in 1st/2nd you could have had ur 12.9 on that run. All you need from here is some more practice. Make sure u get those BFG's hot, try running them @ less pressure. I ran mine @ 14psi and cut a 2.005

no garuntee's on stuff not breaking, but if u want the car running its best ET's only way to do it is with a slick. go w/ an M&H 22X7.5-15 if u go w/ some slicks.

Well guys, I actually tried a 22 in tire and my car actually ran out of rpms!!!! I could not believe it but my cars trans actually felt like a b16 or a b18c5 trans. When I had the 22 in tires on there my car hit a 109 mph trap bouncing off the rev limiter in fourth (going through the traps) Now with my 23 in tires on there, I am going through the traps at 110 mph in fourth gear at about 6300 rpms...
I know, I know..... But give me a llittle credit, I have only had the car 1 month and its already got a swap and a turbo installed....I have been busting *** on this thing, and it is almost in the 12s with no tuning other than with playing with fmu discs and monitoring my wideband on the street....Who tunes hondata in the DE/PA area??? I live in new castle DE.....Thanks
BTW, What was your 60ft on your 12.89 run??? I noticed you are running around the same trap speed as me...

yeh I remember like 2 weeks ago ur times. Ur only getting faster every trip to the track
good job on getting the car up and running so fast, my 60' on the 12.89 run was kinda screwed up cause I had the tire pressure so low that my front end set off the lights. My other two runs of the night were 12.94 and 12.91 and I cut a 2.005. had the BFG's @ 15psi driver side and 14psi passenger side. Luanched @ 4500

talk to 2Kteg for the hondata. he has the best deal's and service around. For tuning in PA, talk to Boosted Hybrid. He has tuned quite a few Hondata cars on H-T and has done great on all of them.
