Well, I got them
Feel like returning them..
There is no way these are brand new.


There are knicks (not the bearing groove) on the corner where the halves meet.
My fingernail stops when I run it between the halves inside the bore. Theres too much clearance there and holes in between that line.
Not brand new.. maybe fairly new, but used. There are bald lines in the bores where hatch marks are completely gone. Hatch marks don't lie.. They were also worn out on some small piston pin bores (gold part).

As soon as I opened the package I noticed the knicks on the outer sides of the big end bores.
Rod end play or crank walk? Engine failure or just thrown around on a table?
From the way the rods were individually packed, this kind of damage couldn't have happened during shipping.


I want to send them back! Maybe we can work something out..

man that sucks...i bought a turbo from him and it was recieved just like he described. it wouldn't spin and needed a rebuild. i took it apart and put a cardboard shim in behind the compressor wheel and it was fixed . to bad there is no easy solution to this. hope the seller does what it takes to make you happy. .

uhoh, well these were not my rods that were sold, I am absolutely amazed at this, when I received them from my friend to send out they were still in the same box and I did not bother to look in it, if you would like we can make arrangements to get you a refund, again i apologize, I had no idea about this and didnt read this til today because of the long weekend, i am going to pm u my cell # like i did before u bought the rods, thanks

 

Might I add, no attempt was made at contacting me other than making a reply to this thread, no e-mail has been sent, and Im sure I left my cell # in the pm's relating to this sale we both had, just so that everyone knows im going to have the person who these rods belonged to do what he can to make this situation right, I am no scammer and I take the blame for not personally inspecting the rods before I sent them out, he told me theyre brand new, they were in the box, he took the pictures and gave them to me, but other than that I am in the process of resolving this.
