Just wondering which guy or team with lots of money for research will over throw Ericks new time. I'm sure money play a big part. We all know there is alot of racer out thier that has more money to spend than Erick.

 

man... ive seen erick racing since he was running a hatchback.. back in the days.... since he came out with his coupe.. ive notice everyone .3 behind himithink it will be another six months or so untill another FWD even comes close to braking into the 9.s.... Ericks that man...

 

a good question would also be, will it be a B-series, a F-series, or a K-series honda motor.

 

Having done some work with a number of 10-second all-motor guys including Erick and Bisi, I'd have to give Bisi the best shot at doing it next.

However, he doesn't run many events, so it may be a while before we see it, but I think it'll happen before the end of the year.

I would also give the L'Natural boys and Norris a fair shot at it, but I don't know what their development cycle is and what they're working on at this point.

If we go outside of Honda, the NHRA Mazdas might have a shot at it, as would Mohler if he could get hooked up off the line.

im gonna go with a non honda and say scott mohler....hes got the mph but doesnt have the gearibg, he only uses 3 gears.........id say look out once his new tranny hes supposed to be workin on is done

for honda only or any of the na class competitors ? if any cars, then scheepers, followed by padilla when he goes fuel injected then mohler ... in the mean time for hondas, got my $$$ on leslie and on jeremy ...

Next all motor car into the 9's will definately be Bisi. Although it may not be done at a sanctioned event, because I know Bisi doesn't have the funds to go to every event like Erick. But he can always be found at any local So Cali racetrack on any given weekend. He's just about there.

 

Yeah, Bisi's definitely next in line to join the 9 second all motor club.

 

I don't know who it will be. But, I do know, I would like it to Bisi. He seems like a class act all the way. And I like it when good things come to good people!

 

He really needs to do it at a sanctioned event. Bisi is a good, solid guy, but people will still raise doubts about weight, fuel, etc. if it isn't done at an event. Look at the slip Erick posted from March, still lots of questions about that, and I don't think anyone would have called him first to the 9's based on that slip alone. Just too many questions.

yeah especially when his first derivative on his last 1000 ft on that March run shows negative acceleration, implying that he either let off on top end or almost lost control of the car ???
