Which is better 4-1 or 4-2-1 and please tell why below... Is there a major difference in performance? This is for a b18b

I say 4-1, But I am going from my experince. Most small diss. engines have no bottom end. But thats prolly why my car can't get out of it's own way till 4,000 rpm. But above 4k it moves. 2000 civic si 1.6L (for now)

I went with the dc 4-1 ceramic header on my d16y8. It gave me a nice mid to high increase in hp. It also makes a cool voosh noise during wot and vtec. Also it is a lot lighter over stock.
i have had both 4-2-1 and 4-1, i like the 4-2-1 because of the low end power, but the 4-1 has the top end power with a little low end sacrifice. it depends on what you want to do with motor. if its mainly daily driving, i hear people prefer 4-2-1, because they can use that low end power for quick pick up speed.
i am currently using a jdm 4-1 now, i like the top end.

what are your powerband plans? low-end "grunt" (if there's such a thing on hondacuras
) or high-end pull? base your decision on that. when i went back to all-motor, i wanted lots of low-end since it was becoming my daily driver again, so i went with a 4-2-1 header (lost my stock header somewhere), OEM exhaust, and an iceman intake, which is said to yield good low-end results. it's better to do that than to mix and match parts that gain power in different parts of the rev range, i think.

depends on who makes the header , i love my heade gives you also great mid - and top end power . its been compare with the jdm 4-1

i say you rock a 421 on the LS motor
i dont think the top end that you expect out of the 4-1 will be in your gearing ration like it would be for the vtec motors. but that is what I think

I currently have a 4-2-1 RSR header on my B16A2, and it has served me very well for 2 years. Recently i've purchased a 4-1 JDM ITR header. Im still debating whether or not i should put it on. becuse i got to get the flanges modified.

The only headers made that are worth your money are 2.5" collector, and not many of them are 4-2-1. For the money, JDM DC or ANR or Header-Tech are your best buys. Don't bother with a USDM 2" collector, nearly zero power gains.

no more worries about 4-2-1 vs. 4-1. you'll have other stuff to worry about but just not a header.

Wish I had the money for turbo
Maybe one day
