You can get them from http://www.inlinefour.com bout 2x the price as an oem one from the dealer. Theres nothing spectacular about them, they're simply an aftermarket JDM filter, slightly better but every bit counts I suppose.

If anybody wants to buy (3) lil' green monster HAMP filters, I've got them leftover from what I bought from JeffNA way back when.

$20 shipped for the (3) filters.

I've also got (5) regular Honda filters and (2) of the K-series filters if anybody wants to buy those along with the HAMP filters, otherwise I'm just going to give them to my friend.

I won't be using them anymore since I'll be switching to a remote filter system and interchanging b/w Fram HP and Canton 8um filters. I'll probably do oil analyses on both after the engine is rebuilt again to see if I really if using a 8um filter is even beneficial. If you want the results to post on your website Tweak, just let me know.

Who cares? Its an oil filter, you dont have to have a hissy fit about it.

frams are shitty. the best bang for buck oil filter is the wallmart supertech oil filter at $2, which is exactly the same as the STP oil filter.

personally, i use WIX oil filters.

buy a box of honda B series OEM filters wholesale and be done with it.
I hear the hamp filter does filter better and also the smaller filter tends
to make vtec transitions more seamless due to less drop in oil pressure.
Friends of mine that have ITRs and run them at the track have experience
with this and say the drop at 5700 is like 7-10PSI coming back out of VTEC
at that point. with the smaller filter it tends to stay more level in the 3-5psi
range. seems useless for the street but I guess every PSI counts. I have
yet to witness this phenomenon.

well, I bought a box of them to try out. I could clearly tell a difference in Vtec engagement (more consistent).

to each, their own.

hey i work for honda as a tech and these hamp filters isnt so great, you know what you can get the same filter but it will be blue at your local dealership. i got a hamp filter box when i ordered some airfresheners from inline four. i took the part number and hey we had like a hundred in stock. the only thing jdm is the color . so if you really want a green honda filter ill paint on for you.

So when a guy did a test on about 10 different filters and ripped each one apart to check it out and the oem and hamp filters were diff, your saying theyre the same? Hmm... either way like tweak said, to each their own.

I've chopped open similar blue Honda filters and they are different.

good info on them being the same number though.

Here is the oil filter test link

http://www.ntpog.org/reviews/filters/filters.shtml

If stp oil filters are cheaper then 2$ then wouldn't stp be the best bang for the buck ? jk. And about oil filters and which ones are better, sure some have better things then others do, but if you change your oil every 3,000 miles or less then you really don't have to worry about what oil filter you use. But if you wait and do it about every 4,000 or 5,000 then you should worry about what oil filter your using. I change my oil every 3,000 miles or sooner and I use stp oil filters, since I know its one of the best oil filters out there it would not make sense to me to buy a fram.

thats interesting kcivic. in over 3+ tests with the hamp filter it has very, and consistent, differing results than the OEM USDM Honda filter. Not knowing is one thing, spreading mis-information just because you work at a dealership is stupid.

and fram = poo, and mobil 1 filters > all

the Mobil1 filter very well but they drop your oil pressure a bit.
